Breast Cancer Stats

 

  • Having more than one drink of alcohol per day may increase your risk of breast cancer.
  • Current or recent use of birth control pills may increase your risk of breast cancer.

  • Women who do not engage in regular physical activity may have a higher risk of developing breast cancer.

  • Women over 5’3” have a slightly higher risk of breast cancer than women under 5’3”.

  • Every three minutes a woman in the United States is diagnosed with breast cancer.

  • Breast cancer is the leading cancer among white and African American women.

  • Breast cancer incidence in women has increased from one in 20 in 1960 to one in eight today
